Absolutely! Accompanying me during the inspection is a good idea. It will give you an excellent opportunity to go through your new home in more detail. I can give advice and answer questions regarding planned renovations, repairs and general home maintenance. Clients find this aspect of the inspection to be a very educational and worthwhile experience.

A typical inspection takes approximately 2 and a half to 3 hours (or more), depending on the size and age of the property and the building’s overall condition.

A home inspection is a visual examination of the physical condition of a home both inside and out. The foundation and basement, roof, attic, heating and water systems, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as the general condition of the structure itself, are closely examined. We look for poor construction practices and make note of any repairs that might be required or any general maintenance issues. Importantly, we will also make note of any fire and safety issues that need to be addressed.
We have state-of-the-art equipment too.

Your report could take a day or two to arrive, and we may explain things differently than we did in person, during the inspection. Chances are you will have questions. Our clients can contact us any time after the inspection with questions or for advice, for as long as they own the home. Just give us a call, or send an email. We will gladly provide clarification,
